AlgomaTrad is preparing for a busy summer of concerts and dances featuring great Canadian musicians.

Community Dance and Mini-Concert with Pierre Schryer, May 26

Award-winning, homegrown fiddler Pierre Schryer and Danielle Enblom (Irish Old-Time Stepdancer and dance caller) will be featured in a mini-concert and AlgomaTrad community dance on Sunday, May 26, 2 p.m. at the AlgomaTrad Centre, 1249 F&G Line, St. Joseph Island. Pierre and Danielle will be joined by Julie Schryer and Pat O’Gorman in a lively and uplifting afternoon of music and dance. All welcome, no dance experience necessary!  Admission at the door: $15/General, $10/Students, 12 and under/free.

Bluegrass at AlgomaTrad! The Barrel Boys, June 06

Returning after a brilliant sold-out show last year, The Barrel Boys, one of Canada’s foremost bluegrass ensembles, will perform at the AlgomaTrad Centre, 1249 F&G Line, St. Joseph Island on Thursday, June 6 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $30/Adults, $25/Seniors, $15/Students, free for 10 and under and are available online at algomatrad.ca

Ontario bluegrass and roots band The Barrel Boys has spent over a decade crafting a distinctive sound that balances innovation and tradition. They are renowned for the breathtaking vocal harmonies and instrumental prowess that are central to bluegrass, old-time, and country music. What really sets The Boys apart is the heartfelt original writing that continues to charm audiences across Canada.

AlgomaTrad Family Camp, August 12-18

Registrations are open and filling up fast for the 21^st annual AlgomaTrad Family Camp. Featuring twenty of Canada’s best traditional musicians, dancers, makers, and artists, the Camp is an immersive experience of workshops, concerts, dances, theatre, art, and community events for all ages and levels of experience. Over 50 workshops daily in fiddle, piano, guitar, song, bagpipes, tin whistle, banjo, blacksmithing, stepdancing, contra/square dancing, basketmaking, mandolin, mummering, and more!
