Longtime French-language public school trustee Louise Primeau is seeking another term on the Conseil scolaire public du Grand Nord de l'Ontario.
The retired social worker and double-digit grandmother filed nomination papers Monday to run in the Oct. 24 municipal election.
Conseil scolaire public du Grand Nord de l'Ontario operates eight secondary and 14 elementary schools, including École publique Écho-des-Rapides on Hugill Street in Sault Ste. Marie.
Primeau is running to represent the City of Sault Ste. Marie, Township of Prince and Sault North locality.
The deadline to file paperwork to run is Aug. 19 at 2 p.m.
