16-year-old arrested for break-and-enter on Great Northern

Sault police say teenaged suspect was found with stolen merchandise worth up to $3K

Sault Police have charged a 16-year-old with break-and-enter at a local business.

Officers responded last night around 10:30 p.m. to a 911 call reporting a break-and-enter in progress in the 500 block of Great Northern Road.

Police say they located a suspect nearby, as well as stolen merchandise worth between $2,000 and $3,000.

The 16-year-old, whose identity is protected by the Youth Criminal Justice Act, is charged with:

  • Break and Enter – Commit Indictable Offence
  • Theft Under $5,000
  • Mischief Under $5,000
  • Failure to Comply with Undertaking

The teen was released on an undertaking and is scheduled back in court on Nov. 28, 2023.
