SAULT STE MARIE POLICE SERVICE

On Dec. 13, 2016 officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service located and arrested a 17-year-old male for one count of robbery relating to an incident on Dec. 11, 2016.
It is alleged that just before 8 p.m. on Dec. 11, 2016 the accused entered a business in the East End of the city armed with a handgun.
The accused also pulled out a knife and demanded cash from the staff member. The accused then grabbed cash from the till and ran from the scene.
Officers with the Criminal Investigations Division conducted an investigation and identified the accused. He was arrested last evening and will appear in bail court this morning.
