An 18-year-old is facing multiple charges after a 911 call reporting someone with a firearm.

Around 5:40 p.m. on Thursday, officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service were called to the 100 block of Churchill Boulevard.

Upon arrival, officers found the suspect.

"An investigation revealed the accused had walked by a victim, who is unknown to the accused, lifted their shirt to reveal what appeared to be a firearm, pulled it out, and pointed it at the victim before walking away," says a news release from the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service. "Officers learned the accused had stashed the firearm in a business in the area. It was recovered and found to be a BB gun. The accused was arrested."

Christian Dosko is charged with:

  • assault with weapon
  • possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
  • pointing a firearm
  • carrying concealed weapon

The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled back in court in October.

None of the allegations have been tested in court and Dosko is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
