A news release issued today by the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service reports that they've arrested someone after an incident that took place last weekend.
It is alleged that on Sept. 24 the accused entered a residence on Terry Fox Place and threatened the victim known to the accused with a chisel then struck the victim in the face several times. After fighting, the victim was able to get the accused out of the residence, and the accused fled the area before police arrived.
The victim did not require medical attention.
Police located the accused yesterday and as a result Calvin Harper, 20, was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon, unlawfully in a dwelling and breach of probation.
He is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 9.
