28-year-old facing robbery charge

Sault St. Marie Police have charged a 28-year-old Sault man with robbery following an incident downtown on Friday.

In a release, police ay a woman was walking westbound on Queen Street East at around 1 p.m. when she was approached and knocked to the ground and the accused allegedly demanded money.

The victim did not give any money and he left the area.

EMS responded and the victim was taken to hospital for treatment of her injuries.

Shortly after 4 p.m., Corey McIntyre was arrested and faces a charge of robbery.
