36-year-old arrested after threats made online: Police

Police say he was threatening to harm people in social media posts

The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service has charged Darryl McMillan after it was alleged that the 36-year-old made threats on social media.

Full text of a news release issued today follows:

On Aug. 3, 2021, officers with Patrol Services charged 36-year-old Darryl McMillan with uttering threats.

Around 2:03 p.m., officers attended the accused’s residence after receiving complaints he was threatening to harm people in social media posts. He was arrested.

He is charged with uttering threats – cause death or bodily harm. He was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 27, 2021.
