40-year-old facing charges after trailer entered: police

After the initial call, police located the accused a short time later

A 40-year-old has been charged after officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service responded to a report of a trailer being entered.

Police received the report around 10 a.m. Thursday and say that when officers responded, they saw damage to a locking mechanism on the trailer and that it had been entered and identified a person they believed was the accused.

At approximately 10:17 a.m., police arrested 40-year-old Donald Larente in the 200 block of Beverley Street.

Larente has been charged with:

  • break, entering, and committing
  • mischief under $5,000
  • fail to comply with probation order – fail to keep the peace and be of good behaviour
