A 61-year-old man has been charged with careless driving causing death following a fatal collision that took place on Oct. 4, states a news release issued by the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service.
An earlier release regarding this incident reports that an 82-year-old pedestrian was struck by a blue pickup truck at the intersection of Bay Street and Gore Street.
The victim was transported to hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
The incident remains under investigation.
