One person faces drug trafficking charges after police say they seized more $96,634 worth of narcotics from a Robin Street residence this past weekend.
Sault police launched a Controlled Drug and Substances Act investigation in July of this year, and executed a search warrant at a residence in the 100 block of Robin Street on Sept. 21, says a news release issued by the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service.
During the search, officers seized approximately 328 grams of suspected fentanyl, approximately 267 grams of suspected methamphetamine, and approximately 205 grams of suspected cocaine. Also located were $190 in Canadian currency, weigh scales, and packaging materials.
As a result of this investigation, 36-year-old Jessy Lavigne is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 28 and stands charged with:
- Possession of Schedule I Substance for Purpose of Trafficking x3
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
None of the allegations have been tested in court and Lavigne is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
