Albert Street gas leak resolved quickly, says fire service

Sault Ste. Marie Fire Services has released more information on a natural gas leak yesterday.

In a press release this morning, the natural gas leak was traced to a residence on the 100 block of Albert Street East.

Both Enbridge and local fire services were on the scene, and the leak was resolved quickly.

Power was cut to the building for precautionary reasons.

Neighbours were informed of the situation, the street was closed  and fire crews kept the area clear until the issue was resolved.

No injuries were reported.
