Arrest made in repeated Wellington Street West break-ins

The same home was broken into twice within a week

Sault Ste. Marie Police have pressed charges in relation to repeated break and enters.

The victim's home in the 100 block of Wellington Street West was entered on Sept. 11, and their phone was stolen.

The same residence was entered on Sept. 17, when a phone and other items were taken.

A suspect was arrested on the 100 block of Princess Crescent on Sept. 18.

Myles Zacharie, 42-years-old, was charged with:

  • Break and enter
  • Unlawfully in a dwelling
  • Theft under $5,000 x2
  • Fail to comply with a probation order – keep the peace and be of good behaviour x2

The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
