Boundary Road fire deemed not suspicious

Fire crews responded to a garage fire on Boundary Road early Saturday morning.

A news release issued by Sault Ste. Marie Fire Services states that fire is not considered suspicious in nature.

Full text of the release follows:

On Saturday, Dec. 11, 2021 shortly after 7 a.m., Sault Ste. Marie Fire Service crews responded to a call of a residential garage fire in the 500 block of Boundary Road.

Upon arrival, there were visible flames in the detached garage structure. Fire crews were able to contain and extinguish the fire.

The fire is not considered suspicious in nature and remains under investigation.

As a result of the fire, there is significant fire damage to the garage.

There were no injuries to report.
