Canine Unit helps apprehend break and enter suspects

Police have arrested and charged two suspects in relation to a break and enter that occurred early yesterday morning on Second Line West.

In a news release issued today, the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service states that officers responded to a report of a break and enter in progress at a business located in the 200 block of Second Line West at 6:37 a.m.

The two accused fled the scene when officers arrived, police say.

With the assistance of the Canine Unit, 37-year-old William McDonald and 22-year-old Brett Ouimet were located and arrested at 1:29 p.m.

They are scheduled to appear in court on May 3 to face charges of break and enter, theft under $5,000, and breach of probation.
