Charges laid after break and enter on Malabar Drive

Police say the accused also stole items from a McNabb Street business last week

Charges have been laid after a break and enter on Malabar Drive on Thursday morning.

Sault Police say they were notified of a break and enter at 7:47 a.m. yesterday at a residence in the 0-100 block of Malabar Drive.

It is alleged that the accused stole numerous food items before fleeing the area.

With the help of the canine unit, police located the accused at 833: a.m. in the McNabb Street area and was arrested.

Police also allege that the accused stole food and medication from a business in the 200 block of McNabb Street on March 19.

As a result, Myles Zacharie, 40, has been charged with break and enter, two counts of theft under $5,000 and mischief. He was held for bail court.
