Collision leads to charges for 18-year-old

Accused passed a breath test, but refused to provide a blood sample for additional testing

Sault Police have charged Ty Palumbo following a collision that occurred last evening on Tallack Boulevard.

A news release issued today by the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service states that officers suspected that the 18-year-old's ability to drive was impaired by alcohol and/or drugs.

The accused passed a breath test, the release states, but refused to provide a blood sample for additional testing.

Scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 18, Palumbo stands charged with dangerous operation and refusal to comply with a demand.
