1:30 p.m. update:
Sault Police report that traffic is flowing in the area of Carmen’s Way and Second Line East.
However, the westbound curb lane on Second Line East is blocked to traffic.
All traffic should be moving normally shortly.
Original 12:30 p.m. information:
Police are notifying motorists that extended traffic delays can be expected near Carmen’s Way and Second Line East following a single motor vehicle collision in the area today.
A news release issued by the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service states that the vehicle collided with railway crossing equipment in the area.
No injuries were reported as a result of this incident.
"Traffic will be disrupted for some time as the investigation is ongoing and crews work to clear the area," the release states.
