Crews respond to early morning fire on Labelle Avenue

Fire crews responded to a residential garage fire on Labelle Avenue early this morning, states a news release issued by Sault Ste. Marie Fire Services.

"Upon arrival, there were visible flames in the rear of the attached garage structure," the release says.

Firefighters were able to contain and extinguish the fire, and there were no injuries reported as a result of this incident.

The structure sustained moderate damage.

"The cause of the fire is determined to be combustibles in close proximity to an air compressor motor."
