On May 20, 2020 officers with the Crime Suppression Unit and Drug Enforcement Unit arrested 30-year-old Dean Lamming for impaired driving.

At 1:39 a.m. officers observed a car travelling northbound on Gore Street attempt to make a turn the wrong way on to Wellington Street East which is a one way street. Officers conducted a traffic stop. Upon speaking with the accused, officers detected a smell of alcohol coming from the accused and developed grounds to believe his ability to operate the vehicle was impaired.

He was arrested and later provided two breath samples into an approved device registering two fail results. He is charged with impaired driving and impaired operation blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).

He is scheduled to appear in court on June 29, 2020.
