Police confirmed today that a person died as a result of a two-car crash on Wellington St. E., near Kohler St., Tuesday afternoon.
"The driver of one of the vehicles involved was transported to the Sault Area Hospital where they were pronounced deceased," said a news release issued by the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service. "The identity of the deceased is not being released at this time."
The collision, which occurred shortly after 1:00 p.m., is still under investigation.
