One person has been charged with assault after Sault Police say an employee at a local business was pushed through a glass display.

Officers were called to the 600 block of Second Line West just after midnight Sunday.

“Investigation revealed the accused had assaulted an employee when asked to leave the business, pushing them into a glass display and into a wall, causing minor physical injuries,” police say in a news release.

The suspect was gone by the time officers arrived, but a canine team was able to help track them down.

In addition to assault, 28-year-old Daniel Campbell has been charged with failure to comply with a probation order.

The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled back in court on March 18, 2024.

None of the allegations have been tested in court and Campbell is considered innocent unless proven guilty.
