Police seek motorcyclist after hit and run

On Sunday, June 11, 2017 at approximately 2:15 a.m. officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service responded to a motor vehicle collision involving a black motorcycle and pedestrian on Carmen’s Way near Albert Street West.

A 41-year-old male was crossing Carmen’s Way on foot when he was struck by a motorcycle that was travelling southbound on Carmen’s Way. 

The motorcycle left the scene and was last observed travelling eastbound on Queen Street West. The pedestrian was transported to the hospital by EMS with non-life threatening injuries.

Officers from the Traffic Services Division, Criminal Investigations Division and Forensic Identification Unit are continuing this investigation. Anyone with information about this collision is asked to contact the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service at 705-949-6300 ext. 210.
