A 28-year-old is facing a charge of assault causing bodily harm following a fight on March 9.

It was on that date officers from the Sault Police Patrol Services were called to a residence in the 0-100 block of Grosvenor Avenue where two people had been fighting, according to a news release. Both parties had agreed to the fight, and no charges were laid at the time.

However, the victim was transported to hospital and it was learned they sustained an injury to their face.

Further investigation determined charges were to be laid, and a warrant was requested for the accused’s arrest.

On April 4 Brandon Siegman came to the Police Services Building and was arrested and charged with assault causing bodily harm.

The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on May 29.
