On June 26, 2017 officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested four individuals in relation to a break and enter investigation.
Officers responded to a break and enter call in the 100 block of Lorna Drive just after midnight on June 26. It is alleged that the accused persons entered a garage and took several items. All four then left the scene in a vehicle while officers were responding.
Officers were able to locate the suspect vehicle as they were responding to the call and a traffic stop was initiated. Officers placed all four of the accused persons in custody and located several items that had been stolen from the residence including stereo equipment, computer parts and tools.
In addition, officers located a long barrel firearm in the vehicle as well as a small amount of substances believed to be heroin and Fentanyl.
29-year-old Keith Crack of East Street has been charged with:
- One count of break and enter,
- One count of possession of stolen property,
- One count of possession of break in instruments,
- One count of carrying a concealed weapon,
- Two counts of possession of a controlled substance, and;
- One count of breach of probation
33-year-old Nygel Linklater of Albert Street East has been charged with:
- One count of break and enter,
- One count of possession of stolen property,
- One count of possession of break in instruments,
- One count of carrying a concealed weapon, and;
- Three counts of possession of a controlled substance
24-year-old Lee-Ann Mckay of Goulais Avenue has been charged with:
- One count of break and enter,
- One count of possession of stolen property,
- One count of break in instruments, and;
- Two counts of possession of a controlled substance
37-year-old Cheristy Syrette of Albert Street West has been charged with:
- One count of break and enter,
- One count of possession of stolen property,
- One count of possession of break in instruments,
- One count of carrying a concealed weapon, and;
- Two counts of possession of a controlled substance
All of the accused persons were held of bail court.
