Two people charged
On the 12 of April 2013 officers responded to the 500 block of Goulais Ave. in regards to a complaint of two persons arguing and fighting. As a result of the police investigation both persons were arrested and charged with offences relating to domestic violence. One of the accused was charged with breaching their conditions of probation by attending the residence of the other. The second accused was charged with assault as well as mischief under $5000 for damage they caused to Police Services property while acting out during the book in process.
Wanted Male arrested
This morning, officers with the Patrol Services Section of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service were able to locate and arrest 22 year old Caleb Seaton of 99 Letcher Street. Mr. Seaton was located in the area of Wellington Street East and Gore Street at about 6:30 a.m. The accused was arrested for a number of offences including assault, assault with a weapon, threatening, forcible confinement, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, possession of a prohibited weapon, break and enter with intent, and two counts of robbery, one with a weapon and one with a firearm.
It is alleged that on the 13th of December 2012, the accused entered a residence on Breton Road while carrying a handgun. The accused assaulted the occupant of the residence and took a quantity of cash from him.
Further, it is alleged that on the 8th of April 2013 the accused broke into a residence on Albert Street West. While in the residence the accused threatened to kill the resident with a knife and assaulted him by punching the victim. The accused would not allow the victim to leave and took a quantity of cash from the victim and also sprayed the victim with bear spray while committing the offences. Mr. Seaton will appear in bail court today.

On April 11, 2013 Victoria Czapla, 44 years old, of 575 Northland Ave. was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled drug after officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service Street Team executed a CDSA search warrant at her residence. Officers located 1 ½ Oxyneo pills. As well, Czapla was found to be breaching an undertaking by being in possession of non-prescribed drugs. She will be appearing in Court on May 13, 2013.

On April 11, 2013 Lester Running, 42 years old, of 69 Champlain St. was arrested and charged with theft under five thousand dollars and possession of property obtained by crime. It is alleged that Mr. Running stole a pair of earrings from Station Mall. He will be appearing in Court on May 13,2013.

On April 13, 2013 City Police attended at the Algoma Treatment and Remand Centre to execute a Probation and Parole warrant on Nicolas Crack, 19 years old, of 99 Letcher St. It is alleged that Mr. Crack failed to attend counseling as required by his probation order. He will be appearing in Bail Court on April 12, 2013.
