On the 12th of December 2014 1104hrs officers from Patrol Services attended a residence in the central area of the city with regards to a domestic dispute. Police arrested a 22yrs old male for Break and Enter and Assault. It is alleged the male kicked in the door of the residence and assaulted another male occupant by punching him a number of times. The accused will appear in Bail Court on the 15th of December 2014 at 10:00am.
On the 12th of December 2014 at approximately 11:15hrs members from the Sault Ste. Marie Drug Unit conducted a traffic stop in the downtown area of the city. Police investigation revealed the vehicle was bearing a stolen license plate reported stolen to the SSMPS back in February 2014. Charged with possession of stolen property obtained by crime is Jamie-Lynn NEWMAN 20yrs old of Douglas Street Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. She will appear in adult court on the 12th of January 2015.
In the early hours of December 12, city police officers attended to an east end address regarding a noise complaint. Investigation revealed that a male was in an apartment of a female known to him when he was on conditions not to be. It was also determined that the accused was not residing at an address he was directed to be at as well. He was charged with 2 counts of breaching a domestic-related recognizance and will be appearing in Bail Court on December 12.
