23 year old Charged with Mischief
Yesterday evening, at approx. 8:45 Pm City Police arrest a 23-year-old male and charged him with Mischief. It is alleged that on Monday Dec 18th the accused and another unidentified male attended at the rear of 20 Albion St. and damaged a fence. The damage is estimated to be approx. $ 80.00. The accused,
Brent Bellmore, of 20 Albion St. Apt. 302, will be appearing in court on Monday Jan 29th at 9:00 AM, on a charge of Mischief.
Female Charged in Domestic Dispute
Last night at approx 10:00 Pm City Police attended at a west end address in regards to a domestic dispute. Upon arrival officers spoke to a male resident, who advised that his common-law wife assaulted him. The victim reports that the accused punched him several times in the face causing an injury to his left eye. The accused, a 36-year-old female is charged with Assault and will be appearing in Bail Court today at 10:00 Am. It is not known if the victim attended the hospital for medical attention.
Youth Charged with Assault Causing Bodily Harm
Yesterday afternoon City Police attended at a local high school and arrested a 13-year-old male. It is alleged that the youth approached another student and assaulted him by punching him in the face. The assault resulted in the victim suffering a broken nose. Victim was taken to the hospital for treatment. The accused will be appearing in court on Tuesday Jan. 23rd at 9:30 Am on a charge of Assault Causing Bodily Harm.
Two break and enters were reported yesterday.
1) A residence in the 500 block of Northland Rd. was entered and at this time it is believed that only alcohol was taken.
2) A residence in the 100 block of Grandview Ave was entered but it is unknown what if anything was taken.
3) At approx. 1:00 Am this morning City Police were called to the 100 block of McGregor Ave. in regards to a theft from a vehicle. The residents of the address were awoken by the sounds of car doors opening. Upon investigating they discovered a male going through their car. A male suspect was seen fleeing from the scene with Christmas presents.
Ongoing Investigation of Multiple Car Accident
The City Police are still investigating Wednesday night’s four-vehicle collision that occurred at Great Northern Rd and Second Line. All the witnesses have not yet been spoken to. Once the investigation has been completed information will be distributed.
The City Police have been informed that the S.I.U. (The Provincial Special Investigative Unit) is not involved in the investigation of this incident. Sorry for any confusion that may have occurred.
