The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service and the Collision Reporting Centre have received a higher number of motor vehicle collision incidents today. Approximately 26 collisons have been reported by 3:30 p.m. today.

Road conditions have been worsening throughout the day and drivers are having difficulty adjusting their driving habits to the deteriorating conditions.

On February 21, 2014, Sault Ste. Marie Police responded to a domestic related incident in the 70 block of Capp Avenue. It is alleged that the accused male, age 31, grabbed the victim by the arm causing bruising. A check of the accused was done and it was found that there was an outstanding probation order with court ordered conditions. The accused was arrested for assault and breach of probation. The accused will appear in bail court on February 21, 2014, at 10 a.m.

There was a break and enter at a variety store in the 600 block of Queen Street West. Multiple types of cigarettes were taken.
