On February 26, 2015, Sault Ste. Marie police officers investigated a domestic mischief complaint. Officers learned that a 33-year-old male accused had become upset during an argument with his estranged girlfriend and smashed a variety of decretive glassware belonging to the victim. The accused was arrested for one count of mischief and will appear in domestic court on April 1.

On February 26, 2015, members of the Sault Ste. Marie Joint Forces Drug Enforcement Unit along with the Crime Suppression Unit and K-9 Unit executed a CDSA search warrant on a residence located on First Avenue in Sault Ste. Marie. Officers conducted a search of the home and found fentanyl, dilaudid, hydromorphine, and crack cocaine. The total street value of drugs seized is $1,127. As a result of the search, the two residents have been arrested and charged. 32-year-old James Hache has been charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and three counts of simple possession of a controlled substance, while 33-year-old Kathleen Currie has been charged with one count of simple possession of a controlled substance. Both accused will appear in court on March 30.
