Evening news:
On January 10, 2014, 37 year old John Crawford Currie of the 300-block of Albert Street West was arrested for one count of assault. It is alleged he attended at R. J.’s Market at 238 Wellington Street West at 2:00 p.m. and, after being asked to leave by an employee, he assaulted the employee by slapping her in the face. There were no injuries to the employee. Mr. Currie was located a short distance away and will appear in court on February 10, 2014.
Morning news:
On the 10th of January, 2014, city police were called to a local bar where a male had been removed. He was in an intoxicated condition and was upset that he had been asked to leave. Once outside, he smashed the window of a vehicle in the parking lot. Charged with mischief is 24-year-old Gregory Lethbridge of Lennox Ave. He will be appearing in court on the 10th of February, 2014.
On the 9th of January, 2014, a male became involved in a domestic argument that escalated to the point he assaulted a female victim by pushing her and pulling her hair. Police were called and located the male driving a vehicle. When he was pulled over, he was found to have consumed alcohol and to be on a peace bond in relation to the victim. He was arrested and brought to the City Police Station. He is charged with assault, breach of court imposed conditions and consuming over the legal limit. He will be appearing in bail court later this morning.
