On January 15, 2015, at approximately 7:15 p.m., officers from Patrol Services attended at downtown residence and located a 24-year-old female wanted on an outstanding warrant from the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service for domestic related charges. It is alleged that on the 19th of November, 2014, the accused attended the victim’s residence kicked open the door, struck the victim with a steel pipe, and then used the pipe to cause damage to a kitchen table, stove and floor. Further the accused threatened to kill the victim and stole a television. The accused is charged with Break and Enter and Commit, Robbery with Violence, Threatening Death and Mischief under $5,000. The accused will appear in Bail Court later this morning.
On January 16, 2015, at approximately 12:14 a.m., officers from Patrol Services attended a downtown residence with regards to a person to be removed. Further police investigation revealed that the female to be removed had consumed alcohol and was on an undertaking with a condition not to consume alcohol. Charged with breaching her undertaking issued by an Officer in Charge is 34-year-old Courtney Lee-Ann MITCHELL of Henrietta Street, Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. She will appear in Court on February 23, 2015.
On January 16, 2015, at approximately 1:15 a.m., officers from Patrol Services attended a downtown residence with regards to a noise complaint. Further police investigation revealed that the person police were dealing with was wanted on an outstanding warrant. Charged with Failing to Attend Court and Fail to Comply with her Probation Order is 29-year-old Kelly Edna HODGSON of Birch Street, Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. She will appear in Bail Court later this morning.
