Female Charged with Mischief & Assault

At approx. 9:25 Pm last night City Police were called to an east end residence in regards to a disturbance. Upon arrival officers were informed that the ex-wife of the complainant had attended the residence and caused damage to the windows. The accused is also alleged to have assaulted the victim and threatened him with bodily harm. The accused was arrested and further charged with breaching a recognizance by consuming alcohol. The accused, a 29-year-old female will be appearing in Bail Court today at 10:00 Am on charges of Mischief Under $ 5,000, Assault Threatening X2, and Breach of a Recognizance.

Unsafe Storage & Possession of a Firearm

At approx. 10:30 Am yesterday morning City Police arrested a 46-year-old male and charged him with Unsafe storage of Firearms and Unauthorized Possession of Firearms. It is alleged that the accused had three rifles unsafely stored at his residence and he did not have a licence to possess those weapons. The accused Roger Reginald Phil ion, age 46, of 309 Douglas St Apt. 301 will be appearing in court on Monday Mar 5th.The weapons were seized by the police.

Pedestrian-Motor Vehicle Collision

Last night at approx. 7:30 Pm City Police were called to investigate a pedestrian-motor vehicle collision.
A pedestrian suffered minor injuries when a vehicle backing out of a driveway struck him. The investigating officers later learned that the driver of the vehicle, a 16-year-old female, was operating a stolen vehicle. As a result the officers arrested and charged the driver and her 23-year-old passenger with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime. The vehicle had been reported stolen in Sudbury. Both accused will be appearing in Bail Court today at 10:00 Am. The pedestrian was taken to the hospital and treated for his injuries.

Break & Enters

City Police are investigating two Break and enters and one attempted break and enter. Gus Pizza located at 146 Queen St. E. and Fabricland located at 387 Queen St.E. were broken into yesterday. It is unknown what if anything was taken from Gus’ Pizza. Fabricland reports that small amount of petty cash was taken. Unknown persons also attempted to break into a residence in the 200 block of Huron St. Entry to the residence was not gained.

Mischief

City Police received one report of mischief yesterday. Unknown person(s) caused mischief to a home in the 100 block of Spadina Ave. by shooting paintballs at the house.
