On July 31, 2015 at 12:05 p.m., patrol officers located and arrested 19-year-old Dylan Daigle of no fixed address. Daigle was wanted on outstanding warrants for his arrest.

On July 31, 2015 at 12:05 p.m., patrol officers located and arrested 19-year-old Dylan Daigle of no fixed address.  Daigle was wanted on outstanding warrants for his arrest.  It is alleged that in June of this year, Daigle attempted to steal from a local business and in doing so, assaulted the loss prevention officer who had attempted to arrest him.  He is charged with assault and breaching conditions of his probation.  He will be appearing in court August 31, 2015.

On July 31, 2015 at 12:15 p.m., members of the Crime Suppression Unit located and arrested 36-year-old Rachelle Daynard of Borron Ave.  Daynard was wanted on an outstanding warrant for failing to re-attend court after being charged with numerous shoplifting offences.  At the time of the arrest Daynard was found to be in possession of a stolen game console. She is also charged with being in possession of property obtained by crime.  She will be appearing in court August 31, 2015.

On July 31, 2015 at 12:58 p.m., officers from the Detective Office located and arrested a 58-year-old male wanted on a warrant for breaching conditions of his release document stemming from a domestic incident.  It is alleged that on July 20, 2015, the male was found away from his residence while not in the company of his surety as prescribed by his recognizance.  He will be appearing in WASH court August 1, 2015.

A utility trailer was reported stolen from a residence in the 100 block of Goulais Ave.  The trailer is described as being yellow in colour with galvanized sides.

On July 30, 2015, Emergency Services Unit members with the assistance of patrol officers located and arrested a 33-year-old male wanted in relation to a stabbing incident on July 18, 2015. Joseph Elie was taken into custody and charged with attempt murder; fail to appear court and breach of probation. He will be appearing in bail court on July 31, 2015 at 10 a.m.

On July 30, 2015, city police charged a 46-year-old man with discharging a firearm with intent to maim. The charges stem from a double shooting incident that occurred on July 26, 2015. The man will be appearing in court on September 14, 2015 at 9 a.m. to answer to the charge. Police are not releasing further details regarding this incident at this time.

On July 30, 2015, city police charged a 21-year-old female with assault with a weapon. The charges stem from a double shooting incident that occurred on July 26, 2015. The incident is domestic related and not subject to identification as per the policies of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service. She will be appearing in court to answer to the charges on September 14, 2015.

On July 30, 2015, city police charged a 23-year-old male with assault and breach of probation x 2. The charges stem from a double shooting incident that occurred on July 26, 2015. The man will be appearing in court on October 21, 2015. The incident is domestic related and not subject to identification as per the policies of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service.

On July 31, 2015, city police were called to an address in Manitou Park where it is alleged three young people broke into a garage and stole alcohol. An alarm system activated and the victim contacted the police. The three accused were quickly located and charged with break and enter, trespass at night and possession of break in tools. All three will be appearing in bail court on July 31, 2015.
