On June 23, 2016 at 6:10 p.m., city police arrested a 25-year-old male in relation to a domestic assault investigation. It is alleged that on this date, the accused assaulted his partner by grabbing her arm and neck and pushing her up against a wall. It is further alleged that he smashed her cell phone. He will appear in bail court on June 24, 2016.
On June 23, 2016 at 8:50 p.m., city police arrested Justin Whalen, 29 years, of Kingsford Road and charged him with break and enter and breach of probation. It is alleged that on May 27, 2016, the accused entered a home in the west end of the city and stole money from the residence. The accused was also on a probation order with condition to keep the peace and be of good behavior. He will appear in court on July 25, 2016.
On June 23, 2016 at 9:45 p.m., city police arrested a 30-year-old female in relation to a domestic assault investigation. It is alleged that on June 21, 2016, the accused punched her boyfriend in the face. She was charged with assault and will appear in court on July 25, 2016.
On June 23, 2016 at 5:15 p.m., city police arrested a 17-year-old male in regard to a family disturbance in the west end of the city. It is alleged that the accused damaged a family member’s cell phone. At the time of the incident, the accused was on an undertaking with conditions regarding family members. He was charged with mischief under $5,000 and breach of undertaking. He will appear in court on August 2, 2016.
On June 23, 2016 at 11:30 p.m., city police arrested and charged Isabelle Bouchard, 25 years, of Pine Street with breach of recognizance of bail and possession of a controlled substance. Officers had occasion to stop the vehicle that Bouchard was driving and it was found that her bail conditions required her to be in her residence between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. After her arrest, officers searched her and it is alleged that she was in possession of a small amount of marijuana. She will appear in bail court on June 24, 2016.
