A 42 year old female was arrested early this morning as a result of a domestic dispute in the city's westend. The woman is charged with assault and mischief. She will appear in bail court on Monday March 18th.

In July of 2011 following a domestic dispute at a residence in the north section of the city, a 44 year old male assaulted his then 36 year old female partner. The female required treatment at the hospital for an injury sustained to her ribs. On March 13th, 2013 the male, now age 46, sexually assaulted the same female victim. The victim received treatment at the hospital for injuries to her head that she suffered during the sexual assault. On March 14th, 2013 Detectives arrested and charged the male with Sexual Assault and Assault Causing Bodily Harm. The male will appear in bail court on March 15th.

On March 14th, 2013, Aynsley Macleod, age 22 of 168 Martel Rd. Chapleau turned herself into Police Officers at the Sault Ste. Marie Police Services Building. Macleod was wanted on an outstanding Breach of Probation Warrant. She was subsequently charged with this offense and will appear in court on the 15th of April.

On March 14, 2013 at 9:30 pm a 20 year old female got into a domestic related argument with her boyfriend. The argument escalated to a physical assault when the female punched the adult male in the head. Officers were called to the centrally located residence and arrested and charged the female with Assault. While investigating this incident, officers learned a similar assault had occurred March 12th. During this assault, a telephone was also broken. On both occasions the victim received minor injuries. The accused female will appear in bail court on March 15th facing two Assault and a Mischief under $5,000.00 charge.
