Drug & Traffiking Charges Laid
Yesterday officers from the Joint Forces Drug Unit, which consists of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service, the OPP Drug Enforcement Unit, the RCMP and the OPP North East Region, executed a search warrant at 859 Trunk Road room 16. As a result of the search officers located 107.1 grams of cocaine, 32 Oxycoton tablets, 13 morphine capsules. Officers also located several cell phones, various packaging, several digital scales and drug paraphernalia. The estimated street value of the drugs seized is $12432.00. Arrested is 40-year-old Nicky Deleware Pears of no fixed address. He has been charged with 2 counts of possession of a controlled drug or substance, 3 counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking in a controlled drug or substance and 2 counts of breach of probation order for fail to notify his change of address, not to consume non-prescribed drugs and keep the peace and be of good behaviour. He will be appearing in bail court today. Also Charged is 30-year-old Tammy Lynn Rutledge of 859 Trunk Road. She has been charged with 3 counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking in a controlled drug or substance, and 4 counts of possession of a controlled drug or substance. She will be appearing in court on April 16th.
Female Charged with Threatening & Breach
In regards to the incident below the female involved is 46-year-old Tina Marie Pucci of 45 Parkewood Drive. The victim is known to her. This is not a domestic related incident.
A 46-year-old female has been charged with 1 count of threatening death or bodily harm and 1 count of breaching a peace bond. It is believed that the accused attended at a hockey arena on Northern Avenue on the 21st of January 2007 and made threatening gestures to the male victim while inside the arena. The accused was bound by a release document with conditions not to molest, harass or physically interfere with the victim. The accused attended at the Sault Ste Marie Police Services building yesterday just before 2pm, she is to appear in court on April 9th.
Three Counts of Breach of Probation
Officers arrested a male at approximately 4:30 yesterday afternoon after responding to a call at 45 St. Andrews Terrace. It is believed that the accused 21-year-old David Wilfred Christiansen, who was in possession of his two dogs, was on a probation order not to have any involvement with animals. It is further believed that Mr. Christiansen was to notify any change of address, which he had failed to do so and was to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. He has been charged with 3 counts of breach of probation order and will be appearing in court on April 16th.
