On March 26, 2015, city police responded to a shoplifting call at Rome’s, 44 Great Northern Road.

On March 26, 2015, city police responded to a shoplifting call at Rome’s, 44 Great Northern Road. It is alleged that the accused Brodie Robert Barnes, age 25 of Borron Avenue, went to the meat department and concealed 2 steaks on his person and left the store without attempting to pay. The accused was apprehended by a loss prevention officer. Police continued the arrest and charged the accused with theft under $5,000. The accused is scheduled to appear in court on April 27, 2015 at 9 a.m.

On March 27, 2015, at approximately 1 a.m., city police were in the area of Spruce Street regarding a possible break and enter in progress. Police observed a vehicle and pulled it over on St. George’s Avenue. The driver had signs of driving under the influence of alcohol. A road side demand was requested by officers and after several attempts to gain a suitable sample of the male’s breath he was arrested for failing to provide a breath sample. The accused William Kingston, age 48 of Queen Street West was released at the scene and is scheduled to appear in court on April 27, 2015 at 9 a.m.
