On May 2, 2014 at 9:50 a.m., city police responded to the area of Queen Street West near Huron Street for a report of a male and female arguing. Police located the pair and observed them speaking to each other.

On May 2, 2014 at 9:50 a.m., city police responded to the area of Queen Street West near Huron Street for a report of a male and female arguing. Police located the pair and observed them speaking to each other. The male, who was known to police, fled on foot. The 27-year-old female initially falsely identified herself to police when questioned. Once the female was positively identified by police she was arrested for breaching her recognizance of bail which included the condition to not communicate with the male who fled. This order stemmed from a domestic incident in 2013. A search of the female also produced a small quantity of marihuana. She has been charged with breach of recognizance, possession of marijuana and obstruct police and will appear in bail court this afternoon. 

On May 2, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. city police located an intoxicated male in the 100 block of Queen Street East. The 55-year-old male was found to be on a recognizance of bail with a condition not to consume alcohol. The charges and conditions stemmed from a 2013 domestic assault and threatening charge. The accused will appear in bail court Monday May 5, 2014. 

On May 2, 2014 at 3 p.m., the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service investigated a domestic complaint of breach of probation. Officers learned that a 38-year-old male had breached five of his probation conditions that related to the female victim from the original incident in February, 2014. The accused has been charged with five counts of breach of probation and will appear in bail court Monday May 5, 2014

A 44-year-old male was arrested by city police officers overnight and charged with a domestic related assault. It is alleged he and his common-law partner were arguing, escalating to the point where the accused punched the female victim in the face. He will be appearing in bail court this morning.
