CAR-BICYCLE COLLISION Sault Ste. Marie police are investigating collision between a motor vehicle and a bicycle that occurred on Dacey Road yesterday at 8:25 a.m.

Sault Ste. Marie police are investigating collision between a motor vehicle and a bicycle that occurred on Dacey Road yesterday at 8:25 a.m. The bicycle, operated by 11-year-old Amanda Desmoulin of Terry Fox Place, was proceeding southbound on the sidewalk of Dacey Road when a vehicle backed out of a private driveway, hitting the bicycle. The vehicle and driver then left the scene.

The cyclist received minimal injuries and did not wish medical attention at the time. The driver, 35-year-old Cyril Morden of Weldon Avenue, the operator of the 2000 Hyundai, was issued a summons for failing to report or furnish information. There was minor damage to the bike and no damage reported to the Hyundai.

BEARS IN THE CITY
City police have received more reports of bear sightings. A bear has been into some garbage in the Fort Creek Drive area and a mother and two cubs have been spotted in the 600 block of Old Garden River Road. Extreme caution should be used and you should notify police
