IMPAIRED CHARGE LAID FOLLOWING ACCIDENT
A single vehicle accident occurred shortly after 1am today at the corner of Conmee and Hudson Streets. A pick-up operated by 45-year-old Anja Pitchford of Fish Hatchery Road had been proceeding eastbound on Conmee when it went out of control and struck a utility pole on the southeast corner of the intersection. Fortunately there were no injuries. Pitchford has been charged with impaired driving. A court date has been set for November 19.
Police were called to a James Street residence yesterday morning regarding a break-in. A door had bee pried open to gain entry. Among the items stolen were four rifles.
