Safety Tips
The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service would like to share a few safety tips with everyone as we approach another long weekend. Remember to secure your home if you are going away and ask a neighbour or friend to keep an eye on your place and check it daily. Also leave lights on timers and make it look like your home is lived in. Don’t leave jewellery or large amounts of money in your home if you are away, secure it in a safety deposit box. When traveling on the roads, drive safely, don’t speed, wear your seatbelt, ensure that the little ones traveling with you are properly secured and be aware of your surroundings. Always allow yourself the extra space between your vehicle and the one in front of you-this will allow you room to maneuver and possibly avoid an accident if the vehicle in front of you stops suddenly. By following these steps you may be able to have a safe accident free-crime free Thanksgiving weekend.
