UPDATE: Police responded to possible weapon near Chapple Avenue townhouses

Officers entered at least one of the units, but no weapon was found and no arrests made

Update 9:10 a.m. Wednesday:

Sault Police spokesperson Lincoln Louttit said officers are no longer on scene and the investigation is ongoing.

"Officers responded to reports of someone in the area, possibly with a weapon," said Louttit. "No arrests have been made and no weapon was found."

Heavily armed police officers responded to a Chapple Avenue townhouse complex this afternoon.

A group of officers entered at least one of the units.
