On March 3, 2019, officers with the Patrol Services division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 53-year-old Paul Davis of Morin Street for impaired driving.

Just after midnight on Sunday morning, the accused was involved in a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of McDonald Avenue and Pine Street. It’s alleged the accused was travelling west on McDonald Avenue, failed to stop at a stop sign colliding with a north bound vehicle that was travelling on Pine Street. It’s also alleged the accused failed to remain at the scene following the collision.

Officers located him a short time later and developed grounds to believe the accused’s ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol and he was taken into custody. He has been charged with one count of failure to stop after an accident, one count of blood alcohol over 80 and one count of impaired. He is scheduled to appear in court on April 1, 2019.
