The Integrated Municipal Enforcement Team (IMET) attended a multi-unit residence located at 58 Wellington St. W. on Tuesday at noon for an inspection lead by Sault Ste. Marie Fire Services.
A news release issued today by the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service states that inoperable smoke alarms, blocked fire escape routes, and numerous by-law infractions were identified.
These concerns were addressed by the property owner prior to IMET leaving the residence.
Sault Ste. Marie Police Service announced the launch of the Integrated Municipal Enforcement Team on Friday, Sept. 5 to address decrepit buildings and derelict properties across the city.
