SAULT STE. MARIE POLICE SERVICE

On Sept. 29, 2018 officers with the Patrol Services Division of The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested [acquitted] for impaired driving.
It is alleged that just before 7 p.m., the accused was operating a motor vehicle in the area of Great Northern Road and Fifth Line while his ability to do so was impaired by alcohol. An off duty officer observed the accused and was able to contact the Police Service. Officers quickly attended and stopped the vehicle.
The accused was taken into custody and charged with one count of impaired operation of a motor vehicle and one count of operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol level that was over the legal limit. He will appear in court on Oct. 29, 2018.
