Local man tried to pawn items stolen from a vehicle, police say

He faces possession of stolen property, breach of probation, and breach of recognizance charges

On April 1, 2019 officers with the Patrol Service division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 45-year-old Isreal Neveau of Second Line West for possession of stolen property. 

It’s alleged on March 20, 2019 the accused took items from a parked vehicle in the 100-block of Bay Street. It’s further alleged he attempted to sell the items at a local pawn shop and left before police arrived. 

He was located on April 1, 2019 and charged with one count of possession of stolen property, one count of breach of probation and one count of breach of recognizance. He is scheduled to appear in court on May 13, 2019.
