Man accused of stealing more than $5,000 in pre-paid credit cards

On Apr. 11, 2017 officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 32-year-old Christopher Hurley of Boundary Road in relation to a theft from a local business.

It is alleged that between Mar. 6 and Mar. 9, 2017 the accused used a data terminal at a McNabb Street business to activate over $5,000 in prepaid credit cards without paying for the items.

The accused was arrested on Apr. 11, and charged with one count of theft over $5,000. He will appear in court on May 15, 2017.
