Man already in Anishinabek Police custody arrested by Sault Police

40-year-old accused of multiple theft incidents

One person was arrested and is accused of three theft incidents at a Trunk Road business totalling $570.35. Police say the accused, who was in custody of Anishinabek Police Service at the time of his arrest, is also responsible for taking a cart of items from a business in the 500 block of Korah Road.

The incidents occurred between Nov. 28 and Dec. 13.

"On Dec. 13, officers were advised the accused was in custody of Anishinabek Police Service on an unrelated warrant," says a news release issued by the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service. "Sault Police attended and arrested the accused."

As a result of this investigation, 40-year-old Ryan Souliere faces charges of:
    •    Theft under $5,000 x4
    •    Failure to attend court after having appeared

Souliere is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 12.
