Police have charged a Sault man with impaired driving and drug possession.
Police say on Friday around 9 p.m., they conducted a traffic stop and determined that the driver was impaired.
Officers gave the driver a sobriety test and he performed poorly, according to a press release issued today.
A further search of the accused and the vehicle found him to be in possession of 1.83 grams of suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Police have charged Darren MacKay, 52, with impaired driving and possession of a controlled substance.
He is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 19, 2020.
